DARUMA is so popular and connected with

Japanese tradition and culture.

Our traditional saying daruma will make to People's wishes come true!!

Many people in Japan buy DARUMA for elections,

success in business, weddings, and other happy events etc.

( many different varieties of  DARUMA are made specially in our factory (*^_^*)) .

[ DARUMA BRINGS HAPPINESS TO EVERYBODY ! ]

DARUMA was a person who lived a long time ago.

DARUMA was a prince in India.

DARUMA went to China with the idea of Buddhism.

DARUMA started Chinese Zen.

DARUMA was 28 generations from BUDDHA.

DARUMA sat facing a wall for 8 years meditating

and..[became a saint] ....

This is the very famous story about DARUMA.

■DARUMA`s idea.

DARUMA had an important idea about human life.

First, past life.

People have the pain from their past life.

Humans suffer pain and trouble in their lives now.

  Sometimes, they connect with their past life, (this is the idea of the reincarnation from Buddhism)

and that brings with it pain and trouble from their past lives.

even when these problems and troubles make you unhappy, you most accept them.

Because this is your life. It is who you are.

You shouldn't make these problems the responsibility of other people,

You can fight for yourself, and you will win.

Second, destiny.

People's success or failure will be decided by destiny.

If you have success or failure, you should remain as you are, stay calm.

When you entrust your destiny,

you can feel peace and happiness at all times.

Third, greed.

No matter what we have in this life, we always want more....... usually? (*^_^*)

Greed comes from the anxiety of the mind.

When you could get something,  you always more.

You can't stop,  you can't control yourself, it comes from your greedy heart.

If the greed controls you, you are not yourself.

This causes unhappiness in our world!!

You should keep your distance from this way of thinking.

using you should listen to heart and speak with a pure mind

then, your life will become your life, truly. 　

■What can we study from DARUMA`s message?

Now, there are many people who are greedy.

But DARUMA said that we never get happiness

from greed.

[ALL HUMAN BEINGS CAN BECOME PURE] !!

Even though they have done many wrong things in the past.

If we stay pure all the time,

we can always stay as we are.

We are thankful for being introduced to

such a valuable way of thinking.

How about trying to practice this way of thinking in our lives?

.... someone said, a human's life is like a clock, wound up

by something before the human comes to existence on the earth.

That time should be spent on things the person really wants to do without greed.

Modest heart, Obedient heart,

The person who can keep a pure heart will always be happy and will always be smiling.

And...we can continue to have a beautiful shining light

in our hearts and  in our lives.

We can always be proud of ourselves and relate to everybody who we meet in our life.

....always trying to grow up own ability for happiness in own world,
have the strength to do the honestly kindness to other people,
the passion to continue to following own ideal for the joy of everything,
and do the right things in own mind to make a beautiful world on the earth.

The people who always keep such a kind of the thing can get

That is called [HAPPINESS] in our world.

■When you get a DARUMA, what should you do.

First, if you get a DARUMA,

please draw the right eye when you see in front of daruma in black, 

Then, you make a wish, anythings OK ,

wish to have a boy or girl-friend, to succeed in your business,

win the big election, win the game, pass the examination,

[WISHES OF HUMAN BEINGS NEVER STOP], usually........ (*^_^*)

Anyway, when your wish comes true, please draw in the other eye.

It will become a complete DARUMA, in front of you.

■What is special about DARUMA?

DARUMA doesn't fall down.

If it falls down, it soon rights itself again.

It symbolies Japanese persistence.

If we have a big problem, or make a big mistake,

[We will never give up]. 

■TAKASAKI DARUMA ?

[Takasaki] in Gunma prefecture has the most popular DARUMA makers in Japan.

Some prefectures have a few DARUMAs which have a different design.

Takasaki DARUMA produces one hundred and fifty million a year.

That is 80% of all DARUMAs in Japan.

They are drawn with eyebrows and mustaches at each factory.

Each factory has a different theme.

But we have a basic rule which is DARUMA's eyebrow and mustache

should be designed like a crane and a turtle,

because they are lucky animals in Japan .

We have a saying :

cranes can live for thousands of years, and turtles can live ten thousand years

I don't know, is this true or not?  (*^_^*)

Anyway, when you have the opportunity, visit Takasaki prefecture,

We recommend you to visit the DARUMA FACTORY.

If you want, you can draw daruma's face,

it will become your ORIGINAL DARUMA.

Also Takasaki has a special temple for DARUMA which is the SHOURIN temple.

When you go to there, you can meet a lot of Buddhist priests

with nice smiles,  (*^_^*)         ...maybe...?

and you can get a lot of information about DARUMA,     ...but, in Japanese........??? (*^_^*)
